Technology and web development training

To support Iowa’s entrepreneurs, technology training is available through the University of Iowa's Dev/Iowa programs. Training opportunities include guest speakers, weekend workshops, one week programs and the intensive Dev/Iowa Bootcamp.

Designed and led by industry experts, the courses offer a hands-on, immersive learning environment. Emphasizing fundamental web development skills and industry practices the courses a skill-set heavily sought after by employers across the state and the rest of the world. The courses are open to UI students and the general public.


Training to accelerate the startup process

UI Venture School, offered by the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, is a 6-week training program designed to accelerate the startup process while increasing your chance for success. Venture School emphasizes real-world entrepreneurship through experiential learning, a flipped classroom and immediate feedback.



UI Ventures and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) sponsor free “Lunch and Learn” workshops to the public. Each month, speakers present on a variety of topics ranging from Sales to IP Law.
