Division of Sponsored Programs

The Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP), a unit under the Office of the Vice President for Research, assists University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students seeking external financial support for research, training, and service activities. Such funding may come from federal agencies, private organizations, and industrial/corporate partners, and may be used to achieve a wide variety of goals in keeping with the UI's mission. DSP also approves and signs applications, contracts, and material transfer agreements on the institution's behalf; negotiates award terms and conditions acceptable to faculty/staff and sponsor; provides post-award administration services; monitors for regulatory compliance; and reports to the Board of Regents, the Legislature, University administration, and the general public.    http://dsp.research.uiowa.edu
