Purpose:
 
This mailing list will be used to send the monthly IRB Advisor newsletter, as well as to communicate other announcements, education materials, and news. 
 
Who should sign up?
 
IRB members, human subject researchers, and administrators are encouraged to sign up for this list.
 
To sign up for the mailing list:
 
Send an email to listserv@list.uiowa.edu. Put the following in the body of the message: subscribe IRBNEWS yourfirstname yourlastname
 
example: subscribe IRBNEWS John Smith
 
You will receive a confirmation message via email which you must respond to for the membership to become active.

What is IRB Advisor?
 
IRB Advisor is a publication of AHC Media. This monthly newsletter contains articles on issues facing IRBs and human subjects researchers.

Can I access the newsletter online?
 
IRB Advisor does provide an online searchable and date order database. You can read issues month by month or conduct key word searches of a particular topic or area of interest. Online access also includes archives dating back to 1997.

If you are using a UI computer, you will automatically have access to the database.  If you are using a non-UI computer, click on "SIGN ON" on the left hand side, enter the username: iowa and password: irbadvisor to begin your search.
