Graduate students affiliated with many different departments are participating in nanoscience and nanotechnology related research across The University of Iowa campus. Interdisciplinary graduate courses and curricula initiatives in nanoscience and nanotechnology are being developed by core NNI@UI faculty. Two graduate courses in nanoscience have been offered recently, Nanomaterials (004:213) and Nanotechnology in Health Sciences (052:195& 046:200). A nanotoxicology initiative is being developed in collaboration with the Environmental Health Sciences Research Center (EHSCR).
