Program Summary

USA Funds® is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit organization that works to enhance postsecondary education preparedness, access and success by providing and supporting financial and other valued services. USA Funds’ current grant-making activities focus on programs that primarily benefit lowincome students, first-generation students, students of color, foster youth and adult learners. Accordingly, we support programs and organizations that aim to:

Recently, we refined our approach to grant-making by concentrating our financial resources on activities and programs that will have significant impact on our target populations’ educational achievement.


One application per organization is allowed.

Award Information

The total pool of funds available is $1.6 million. USA Funds intends to award up to three (3) separate grants with each grant ranging between $400,000 and $800,000 over the duration of the grant period. Grants may be awarded for two (2) or three (3) years, depending on the scale and scope of the program. Continued funding each year will be contingent upon a satisfactory annual review consisting of a thorough evaluation of materials submitted and may require responses to follow-up questions via a site visit from a USA Funds Program Officer and/or an external evaluator.
