Edward Mallinckrodt, Jr. Foundation
Mallinckrodt Foundation Grant Program
The Edward Mallinckrodt, Jr. Foundation is a private foundation that funds basic biomedical research in St Louis and throughout the United States. The mission of the Foundation is to support early stage investigators engaged in biomedical research that has the potential to significantly advance the understanding, diagnosis, or treatment of disease.
Any domestic biomedical institution, whether solely research or educational, is invited to submit candidates for the Mallinckrodt Board's consideration. Each institution is allowed to submit only two applications in a given cycle. Applicants should be in the first to fourth year of their tenure track faculty position with support to move the project forward to the point where R01 or other independent funding can be obtained. Applicants with current R01 funding should not apply.
As of June 10, 2013, there will be only one competition per year.
Regular grants are usually $60,000 per year for a period of up to three years. The grants are not renewable. Institutions may submit a maximum of two proposals per session.
