This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) invites applications for a National Center of Excellence for the Prevention of Childhood Agricultural Injury.

Award Information

Cooperative agreement.  CDC/NIOSH intends to commit $1.2M in FY 2014 to fund one award.  It is anticipated that the total funds available for the entire project period will be approximately $6 million. The estimated total funding (direct and indirect costs) for the first year (12 month budget period) will be $1.2M.  The anticipated project period for this cooperative agreement is five (5) years.

Internal Selection Procedure
The UI Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development and the College of Public Health have established an internal review procedure to select the UI nominee. Applications will be reviewed according to the sponsor's selection criteria. Consideration will also be given to UI institutional strengths and strategic directions. Potential applicants must submit, using the preselection link below, the following information: 
  1. A two page CV; and
  2. A description of the proposed project. It should have the following elements:
The above materials must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. The selected nominee will be asked to complete the full application package in accordance with the sponsor's deadline of Friday, May 2, 2014.
