IOWA Centers for Enterprise New Venture Challenge Spring 2011 - executive summary
The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (JPEC) and The University of Iowa Research Foundation (UIRF) announce the Spring 2011 IOWA Centers for Enterprise New Venture Challenge with $60,000 in total cash prizes!
The New Venture Challenge is a business plan competition that is open to ALL University of Iowa Faculty, Staff, and Students, as well as Startup companies whose principal address is at the UI Research Park.
Each participant will need to submit a 3-5 page Executive Summary of their new venture by Thursday, February 24. Finalists will then be selected for the formal competition taking place on Friday, March 25 where they will present their concepts to a panel of judges.
Executive summaries will be judged on the following:
- Viability of Business Concept
- Feasibility of Business Model
- Actual intent to pursue business
- Quality of written plan
To help entrants prepare for the New Venture Challenge, a Business Plan Workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 2 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in S401 Pappajohn Business Building (PBB).
