OVPRED Internal Funding Initiatives Call for Proposals
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (OVPRED) is accepting applications to the FY2016 Internal Funding Initiatives. These programs encourage leading edge scholarship, creative activities and interdisciplinary research. We accept proposals three times annually in March, September and December. The next deadline is 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015.

New Faculty Innovator Program will help accelerate the startup process
Venture School: Faculty Innovators
The University of Iowa Faculty Innovator Program is a shortened 4-week version of Venture School designed to provide University faculty members with the opportunity to develop marketable ideas and accelerate the startup process. This program will give participants an introduction to the Lean Launchpad methodology and familiarize them with the Business Model Canvas. At the conclusion of the program, participants are encouraged to proceed with Venture School’s regular 6-week session or at the national level with the NSF I-Corps program.
