A University of Iowa researcher has received a $155,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to develop an analytical tool that uses data to help planners and policy makers detect population shifts and environmental changes.
A team of marketing students from the Tippie College of Business recently took first place in the Alliant Energy University Challenge Case Competition, held at the University of Iowa April 9.
Alliant Energy wants more drivers to consider buying electric vehicles in order to decrease greenhouse-gas emissions and is turning to business students at the University of Iowa and other Iowa universities for help.
UI faculty and students will partner with Mason City and a five-county region in east-central Iowa on community-betterment projects ranging from art to urban revitalization. The Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities will lead the effort, which will take place during the 2016–17 academic year.
