The University of Iowa Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (OVPR&ED) invites faculty researchers to submit applications for the 2016 Central Microscopy Research Facility (CMRF) Pilot Project Seed Grant Program.

The program offers small grants for gathering preliminary data and developing research skills using CMRF resources.

Grant support provided through the Pilot Project Seed Grant Program may be used by faculty to develop new research directions, make use of instruments they haven’t used previously, or employ new applications of instrumentation–all with the purpose of securing proofs of concept and generating data to pursue external funding for their work.

Proposals must be submitted by Oct. 28, 2016, and awards of up to $1,000 will be announced after consideration by a review committee. To fill out an application and for more information, visit this website
