Who can help you find funding for your research and scholarly activities?

The Research Development Office connects faculty and staff with key individuals and resources across campus, provides examples of successful proposals, hosts proposal development workshops, and facilitates institutional nominations and internal funding initiatives. Through an internal network of grant administrators and support staff they assist investigators and departments in cultivating external research support.

Division of Sponsored Programs staff can provide instruction on how to search for external funding.  If you are University of Iowa faculty, DSP staff can also search for funding for your project.  Please send a summary or brief paragraph describing your project to Oliva Smith or call 335-3708.

The Grant Bulletin is a free online publication of funding opportunities for University faculty, staff and students.

If you are a graduate or professional student, please see Graduate and Professional Student Resources for funding resources and database training.

Corporate and Foundation Relations staff identify opportunities to pursue gifts, philanthropic grants, and sponsored project support from private funders.
