The objective of this new grant program, which will make awards up to $30,000, is to develop proposals and teams that are able to compete successfully for external funding related to the environmental mission of CGRER.

The Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research’s primary mission is to evaluate the effects and interactions of global chance on earth’s processes and people. It focuses on both the global and regional scale, including Iowa’s Midwestern agricultural setting.

Researchers from colleges and universities across Iowa are eligible to apply, and inter-institutional collaborations are encouraged.

The deadline for applications is January 16, 2018. Please visit CGRER’s website for the full application guidelines and instructions.  Contact Amy Parker, Research Support Coordinator, at amy-parker@uiowa.edu or (319) 335-3333 with questions.
