Faculty, staff, students, and research administrators are invited to fine-tune their National Science Foundation (NSF) grant proposals at a specialized, eight-session workshop lead by George Malanson, Coleman-Miller Professor in the Department of Geographical and Sustainability Sciences.

Malanson recently returned from a two-year rotation at the NSF where he was a program officer in the Division of Environmental Biology and worked in the Dynamics of Coupled Natural and Human Systems inter-directorate program. He previously also served on NSF panels and a four-year team on a National Institutes of Health study section.

Workshop meetings will be offered 9-10:20 a.m. most Fridays in 205 North Hall beginning Friday, Feb. 17. For more information on each session and to RSVP, click through the links below:

The workshop series, sponsored by the Iowa Social Science Research Center, is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of what NSF program officers and proposal reviewers are evaluating when reviewing proposals to help UI researcher craft more effective proposals.
