Kenneth Karanja, a licensing associate for the University of Iowa Research Foundation, was recently awarded the Howard Bremer Scholarship from the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). The scholarship was established to foster education opportunities for individuals who bring creativity and innovation to the academic technology transfer profession.

Launched in 2002, the Howard Bremer Scholarship is an annual scholarship program that supports students and professionals new to the field pursuing a career in technology transfer. The scholarship supports the travel and registration costs of attending the annual meeting of the AUTM, a $500 honorarium and formal recognition at the event.

The UI Research Foundation is part of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development provides resources and support to researchers and scholars at the University of Iowa and to businesses across Iowa with the goal of forging new frontiers of discovery and innovation and promoting a culture of creativity that benefits the campus, the state, and the world.
