Help the University of Iowa recognize the research, scholarship, and other creative activities of students and postdocs across a range of disciplines. The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) invites members of the university community to nominate outstanding undergraduate, grad student, and postdoctoral researchers for the 2026 Dare to Discover banner campaign.

The 2026 banner campaign will feature 40 students and postdocs. Each will have their photo and a headline about their research featured on a banner, which will be displayed in downtown Iowa City. 

Submit nominations via the form below by Friday, Sept. 12. 

• Anyone may submit a nomination.
• Nominations by faculty or staff who have worked with the researcher will receive highest priority in the review process.
• Nominations of students and postdocs conducting research in the university’s three distinctive areas of collaboration or that directly benefit Iowa communities are especially encouraged.

Selected researchers will be notified in late September. The banners will stay up from January to March 2026.
