The University of Iowa is eligible for EPSCoR funding from four federal agencies: DoD, DOE, NASA, and NSF. The purpose of the EPSCoR Lunch and Learn Series is to promote EPSCoR opportunities and connect faculty with successful awardees.

What is EPSCoR?

The EPSCoR program aims to enhance the science and technology capabilities in states and jurisdictions that traditionally receive fewer federal research and development (R&D) funds.

Eligibility is limited to jurisdictions that have historically received lesser amounts of federal R&D funding but have demonstrated a commitment to developing their research bases. Through funding projects in underrepresented jurisdictions, EPSCoR has been instrumental in fostering STEM careers and advancing science and technology for the United States on a global scale.
