All new and early-career faculty are invited to join the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (OVPR&ED) for the second meeting of a yearlong lunch series to learn about running a successful and compliant research program at the University of Iowa. The topic will be “Securing external and internal funding for research” and will be held 11:30am-1:00pm, Monday, Oct. 17, 2520D University Capitol Centre.

Whether grant writing, speaking to the public or testifying before Congress, telling the story of science has profound implications. That’s why University of Iowa Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development has teamed up with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the UI Graduate College to host two Communicating Science workshops Sept. 23 to assist its faculty and graduate students in crafting their research narratives.
On April 9-10, 2015, Melissa Marshall, Senior Lecturer at Penn State University, will visit the University of Iowa to deliver workshops and lectures for the University of Iowa community.
