The Office of Undergraduate Research's Fall Undergraduate Research Festival (FURF) celebrates and recognizes the contributions of undergraduate researchers to research, scholarship, and creative work at the University of Iowa.
All students engaged in mentored research or creative projects are invited to present their work through posters or other visual displays. Judges from across the University of Iowa community—including fellow students, faculty, and graduate students—as well as members of the broader community, are on hand to discuss projects and provide valuable feedback. Every aspect of the festival, from designing a poster and delivering a presentation to answering questions for a general audience, is intended to help students develop and strengthen their research communication skills. Watch this page or join our newsletter for updates about this event.
