Nominations are open for University of Iowa faculty, staff, and student researchers, creators, mentors, and entrepreneurs for the UI’s annual Discovery & Innovation Awards Ceremony, which will be held in April 2017.

The UI Office of Research and Economic Development, the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Operations, the Graduate College, the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, and the Iowa Center for Research by Undergraduates sponsor the awards.

All nomination materials must be submitted by Feb. 10, 2017.

“One of the primary missions of academic institutions is to foster exploration and ingenuity through world-class scholarship and research,” said Daniel Reed, Vice President for Research and Economic Development. “The Discovery and Innovation Awards are an opportunity for us to celebrate faculty, staff and students who through their research, entrepreneurship and public engagement are directly fulfilling this vital higher education mission.”
