The Office of the Vice President for Research is now accepting proposals to Creative Matches funding program, which supports collaborative projects that bring together scientific and artistic modes of inquiry, experimentation, and expression.

Musical Chemistry project

Proposed projects must include partners from at least one arts discipline and at least one science, biomedical, or engineering discipline.

In the past, the Creative Matches program has supported a partnership between music and chemistry to compose musical scores inspired by natural phenomena. The program has also supported a collaboration among faculty in computer science, theatre, engineering, and dance to integrate live performance and virtual reality.

With funding from the Arts Advancement Committee, the Office of the Provost, and the Office of the Vice President for Research, the program will provide support for up to five projects of between $1,000 and $10,000 each.

The deadline for proposals is 11:59 p.m. on December 30, 2018. Visit our website for additional information about eligibility and application guidelines.
