The Book Matters series seeks to celebrate the written works of faculty members from a range of disciplines at the University of Iowa -- The Writing University. By shining a light on published works from a wide range of disciplines, these events are an opportunity for scholars and critical thinkers from across the campus and community to come together to discuss ideas, meet new colleagues, and celebrate the writing strengths of UI scholars outside of traditional writing departments.

A companion program for Creative MattersBook Matters is hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research. The events are free and open to the public.
