VIDA Diagnostics Inc., a medical software and services company based in the UI BioVentures Center and created through research at the UI College of Engineering, recently announced the company raised $5.1 million in Series B funding.

Austin, Texas-based Applied Food Sciences Inc. recently opened a new branch of its company at the University of Iowa’s BioVentures Center in the UI Research Park. Applied Food Sciences is a natural ingredient supplier specializing in botanical extracts for food, beverages and supplements.

Viewpoint Molecular Targeting has been selected by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to participate in the business accelerator program I-Corps in 2017.
